Company history.

  • 1901 Establishment of Schlosserei Keller. The forge is located in a fifty square metre barn in Troisdorf.
  • 1921 As the company is unable to properly procure gear wheels, the brothers Carl and Wilhelm Keller begin to produce their gears.
  • In 1936, production is expanded to include gears for the steel industry.
  • 1968 The first gearbox to be used in surface mining is commissioned.
  • 1971 Keller begins to produce gearboxes for
    sugar factories.
  • 1983 The product range is extended with
    mixer gearboxes.
  • 1985 Keller produces gear solutions for the cement,
    chemical and aluminium industries.
  • 2000 sees the start of development and production of gears for dredging.
  • 2007–2009 Keller invests altogether €10 million in its machinery. The largest gear grinding machine currently in Germany starts operation.
  • 2010 Further investment of €2 million in machinery, including among others a 6-axis machining centre
